Softball Game Preview: Lincolnton Wolves vs. East Burke Cavaliers

Lincolnton is 1-7 against East Burke since March of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Wolves will venture away from home to take on the Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. Lincolnton has given up an average of 9.6 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Lincolnton is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Monday. They lost 16-0 to Maiden.

Meanwhile, East Burke was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Draughn.

Amanda McLean was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Lincolnton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for East Burke, their loss dropped their record down to 4-20.

Lincolnton came out on top in a nail-biter against East Burke in their previous matchup on April 8th, sneaking past 10-9. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
