After low-scoring totals in their previous four contest, Holy Trinity brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. They put the hurt on the Kellenberg Memorial Firebirds with a sharp 12-1 win on Friday. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by ten runs or more this season.

Jeremy Leone spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Holy Trinity is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-7-1 otherwise.

At the plate, Christain Poveda was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Holy Trinity is undefeated when Poveda posts two or more runs, but 4-7-1 otherwise. Another player making a difference was SJ Garneau, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

With the victory, Holy Trinity broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-7-1. As for Kellenberg Memorial, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Holy Trinity will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Stony Brook at 4:30 p.m. on May 5. As for Kellenberg Memorial, they will face off against Monsignor McClancy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
