MacArthur has gone 9-0-1 against Nimitz recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The MacArthur Generals will challenge the Nimitz Cougars at 7:30 p.m. MacArthur's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

MacArthur fell victim to Kingwood and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Mustangs, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Generals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 286th, while the Mustangs are ranked 14th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Nimitz, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against Randle by a score of 5-3 on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Nimitz's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for MacArthur, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-1.

Everything went MacArthur's way against Nimitz in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as MacArthur made off with a 3-0 win. Will MacArthur repeat their success, or does Nimitz have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
