Basketball Recap: Cardinal O'Hara Comes Up Short

Cardinal O'Hara lost against Canisius back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cardinal O'Hara Hawks were beaten by the Canisius Crusaders 72-36. The Hawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-17.

Canisius' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nick Purdie, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine boards. Purdie's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Jack Cullinan was another key player, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Cardinal O'Hara now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Canisius, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Cardinal O'Hara wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 60-43 victory against Edison on the 27th. As for Canisius, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-39 loss against Loyola Blakefield on the 27th.
