Bath fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Wayne Trace on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 5-4. On the bright side, the four- run performance marked the Wildcats' highest-scoring contest to date.

Logan Markley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, Eli Steed made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 1-for-3. That hit marked the first that he got this season.

Meanwhile, Perry made easy work of Jackson Center on Tuesday and carried off a 14-1 victory.

Brodey Douce was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Douce was even better at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Hunter Scott was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-5. Tate Essex was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Bath's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Perry, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
