Softball Recap: Notus Takes a Loss

Notus was the 28-15 winner over Idaho City when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Pirates fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 10-9 on Friday. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Yarexi Llaguno-Saucedo made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Victoria Zamora, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Notus' loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Idaho City, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season.

Notus didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-0 defeat against Glenns Ferry on the 15th. As for Idaho City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 18-17 victory against Wilder on the 9th.
