Basketball Game Preview: Dunkirk Marauders vs. Silver Creek Black Knights

The Dunkirk Marauders will face off against the Silver Creek Black Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Dunkirk has struggled recently with 20 defeats in a row, while Silver Creek will arrive with three straight victories.

Dunkirk is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Salamanca on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Dunkirk had to suffer through a 74-30 loss at the hands of Salamanca. The Marauders were down 55-25 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Meanwhile, everything went Silver Creek's way against Brocton on Friday as Silver Creek made off with a 53-27 win. Fans of the Black Knights have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Silver Creek's victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-0. As for Dunkirk, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.
