Chestnut Ridge won the last time they faced Richland and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Lions came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rams, sneaking past 4-2. That's two games straight that the Lions have won by exactly two runs.

Cale Harrison spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Chestnut Ridge saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kole Clark, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

The win got Chestnut Ridge back to even at 4-4. As for Richland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chestnut Ridge will challenge Central at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions will need to watch out since the Dragons have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games. As for Richland, they will take on Westmont Hilltop at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hilltoppers have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season.
