Baseball Recap: Foster Comes Up Short

Foster extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Monday, dropping them down to 0-3. They came up short against the Cedarcrest Red Wolves, falling 13-1. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Cedarcrest, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 10.0 runs this season.

For Cedarcrest's part, the team relied heavily on Carter Smith, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases Smith has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Liam DelCarmen, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

While Foster had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
