Football Recap: Goldsboro Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Goldsboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 32-26 heartbreaker at the hands of the Southern Wayne Saints. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 16-8 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Goldsboro's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Southern Wayne, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Goldsboro will head out to challenge C.B. Aycock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Southern Wayne, they will challenge Smithfield-Selma at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
