Basketball Recap: Morgan Park Comes Up Short

If Morgan Park was riding high fresh off their 73-28 takedown of Chicago Washington last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The match between the Morgan Park Mustangs and the Schaumburg Saxons didn't end well, with the Morgan Park Mustangs falling 70-54.

Despite the loss, Morgan Park still got an impressive performance from Pierre Stevenson Jr., who went 5 for 9 on his way to 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rashawn Robinson, who posted seven points in addition to 13 boards and three steals.

Morgan Park's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Schaumburg, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.

Morgan Park wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 45-44 victory against Berwyn/Cicero Morton on the 27th. As for Schaumburg, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-48 defeat against Niles North on the 27th.
