Taconic is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Friday. They were beaten by Hoosac Valley 37-6.

Meanwhile, Holyoke played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by South Hadley and fell 48-7. The Purple Knights haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Holyoke's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Taconic, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-5.

Taconic was taken down by Holyoke 51-12 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Purple Knights' Devin Velez, who threw for 224 yards and four TDs.
