It was a good run, but De La Salle unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 4-1 to the DePaul College Prep Rams. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Meteors couldn't push the score so high this time.

Abby Trendle was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one run.

De La Salle's defeat dropped their record down to 19-6. As for DePaul College Prep, their record now sits at 7-18.

Coming up, De La Salle will venture away from home to face off against Aurora Central Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Meteors 4, the Chargers 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for DePaul College Prep, they will take on Latin at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
