Softball Recap: Mt. Morris Panthers vs. Hill-McCloy Rams

Mt. Morris had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. Their rough 15-0 loss to the Hill-McCloy Rams on Monday might stick with them for a while. The defeat means Mt. Morris is still on the hunt for the season's first 'W'.

For Hill-McCloy's part, Arika Hines made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Hines was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Aubree Emmendorfer was incredible, going 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Kyla Deloney, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
