The Oak Hill Golden Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Noblesville Millers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Oak Hill sitting on four straight victories and Noblesville on six.
Eight must be Oak Hill's lucky number: they beat Madison-Grant with that score not once but twice on Saturday. The Golden Eagles blew past the Argylls 8-1.
Ayden Pearce spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kyler Kabel, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Harrison York, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.
Meanwhile, Noblesville earned a 5-1 win over Lebanon on Saturday.
Noblesville also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and he was also dialed-in: Adam Gaskill gave up a run (which was unearned) on two hits.
On the hitting side, Zac Glander was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Jalen Stidham also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Noblesville pushed their record up to 11-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Oak Hill, their victory bumped their record up to 10-7.
Oak Hill's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's contest. The Golden Eagles have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.9 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Noblesville, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Oak Hill continue to outrun the ball?
