After a string of four wins, Racine Case's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Wilmot Panthers by a score of 58-55. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Eagles came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while the Panthers are ranked 413th).

Racine Case's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Wilmot, with the victory, they broke their 28-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Racine Case will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Indian Trail at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Racine Case knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Indian Trail likes a good challenge.
