Volleyball Recap: Antietam's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Antietam came into Tuesday's contest having lost 13 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Wyomissing Spartans by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Mountaineers: when they faced off against the Spartans back in April, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 16-25, 25-19, 25-16.

Antietam's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brayden Yelk led the charge by getting four digs and three aces. That's the most digs Yelk has posted since back in April. Quintin Heller was another key player, getting 14 digs and seven kills.

Antietam's win bumped their record up to 4-17. As for Wyomissing, they dropped their record down to 1-15 with the defeat, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Antietam does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wyomissing, they will take on Avon Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
