Baseball Recap: L'Anse Creuse Takes a Loss

L'Anse Creuse was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Fraser Ramblers, falling 9-2. That's two games in a row now that the Lancers have lost by exactly seven runs.

Logan Kurtz made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. He is becoming a predictor of L'Anse Creuse's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 4-20 when he doesn't).

L'Anse Creuse's loss dropped their record down to 6-21. As for Fraser, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record this season.
