Soccer Recap: International Community Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, International Community couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Pine Knights by a score of 3-2 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 235th, while the Knights are ranked 45th).

Paxton Boaz and Hunter Mills scored both of International Community's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 64 goals.

International Community's loss dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Pine, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-1.

International Community does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pine, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cambridge Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
