Volleyball Game Preview: Coral Springs Colts vs. Stoneman Douglas Eagles

The Coral Springs Colts will head out to challenge the Stoneman Douglas Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Coral Springs is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Nova just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Titans by a score of 3-2.

Coral Springs was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Nova work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-16, 25-27, 23-25, 15-8.

Coral Springs might have lost, but man, Jayden Thomas was a machine: he had 36 digs.

Meanwhile, Stoneman Douglas was able to grind out a solid win over Plantation on Monday, taking the game 3-1.

While Stoneman Douglas might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Plantation scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 19-25, 25-20, 25-20.

Coral Springs' loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Stoneman Douglas, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Coral Springs came out on top in a nail-biter against Stoneman Douglas in their previous matchup back in April of 2023, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Colts repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
