Volleyball Recap: Sandhills Comes Up Short

Sandhills lost against Jefferson Davis Academy last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bucks fell 2-0 to the Raiders.

Jefferson Davis Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but RILEIGH YORK led the charge by getting nine aces and one block. That's the most aces YORK has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was ABBY DEERING, who had four aces and three digs.

Sandhills' defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Jefferson Davis Academy, they moved to 13-11 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

Sandhills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jefferson Davis Academy, they will square off against Community Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
