Basketball Recap: Regis Jesuit Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Victory

With a playoff win on the line, Regis Jesuit rose to the challenge on Saturday. They blew past the Arapahoe Warriors 60-39. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 21 points or more this season.

Regis Jesuit's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tiana Rogers, who shot 58% from the field on her way to 15 points and five rebounds. Khloe Miller also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Regis Jesuit was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They are 18-2 when they've passed the ball that well.

Despite the defeat, Arapahoe saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jaya White went 6-for-14 to rack up 17 points and seven steals. Arapahoe is 4-2 when White posts five or more steals, but 8-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Izzy Johnston, who posted 12 points.

The win (which was Regis Jesuit's seventh in a row) raised their record to 18-6. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.3 points. As for Arapahoe, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season.

Regis Jesuit will venture away from home to take on Legend at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Regis Jesuit's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine games. Arapahoe does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
