Football Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Paulsboro

Paulsboro strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by a 48-28 margin over the Collingswood Panthers. The Red Raiders' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Paulsboro got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Malakhai Mckenzie out in front who threw for 214 yards and four TDs on only 14 passes. Those four passing touchdowns gave Mckenzie a new career-high. Kyaire Harvey helped Mckenzie out on the ground, rushing for 57 yards and one score, while also picking up 52 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Paulsboro was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 210 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Paulsboro didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Jamaal Robinson.

When it comes to explaining why Collingswood lost, don't look at Terrance Goffney. Despite the final result, he rushed for 153 yards and a pair of TDs on only 15 carries.

Paulsboro's record now sits at 4-0. As for Collingswood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Paulsboro will head out on the road to challenge Overbrook at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams' defense has only allowed 13.5 points per game this season, so the Red Raiders' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Collingswood, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Haddon Township at 6:00 p.m.
