Rowan Smyth gave up the fewest walks he has since back in April on Monday. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 18 over 6.2 innings pitched, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

Smyth's strong effort led Evergreen Park over Shepard and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
