Baseball Recap: Anderson Takes a Loss

If Anderson was riding high fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Corpus Christi Moody last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Anderson Trojans lost 12-1 to the Boerne-Champion Chargers on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Trojans have suffered since March 12, 2024.

The defeat snapped Anderson's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Boerne-Champion, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Anderson will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cedar Creek at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th. As for Boerne-Champion, they will face off against Reagan at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
