Baseball Recap: Claude Victorious

While Claude's win against Valley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Claude came out on top in a nail-biter against Valley on Friday, sneaking past 13-12. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Claude got a massive performance out of Brooks Myers, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances. Myers has become a key player for Claude: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-6-1 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Brian Campbell, who went 2-for-4 with five RBI and one stolen base.

Claude's record now sits at 4-7-1. As for Valley, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Claude will head out on the road to take on Shamrock at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Valley, they will be playing at home against Kress at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
