Baseball Recap: Benjamin Logan Wins Going Away Against Bellefontaine

Benjamin Logan won the last time they faced Bellefontaine and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Raiders blew past the Chieftains 9-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.

Bryden Morris made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. He has become a key player for Benjamin Logan: the team is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 9-12 otherwise. Morris was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cayden Brown, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Carter Lyden was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Benjamin Logan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win got Benjamin Logan back to even at 12-12. As for Bellefontaine, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-14.
