Lamar had already won six in a row and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Banning Lewis Academy Stallions. That's more bragging rights for the Thunder, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lamar's got stronger as the match went on, holding Banning Lewis Academy to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-21, 25-10.

Addy Krug paced Lamar's offense, picking up 13 kills. Krug got some help from Abygail Gonzales and her 18 assists.

Banning Lewis Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Camryn Lanza, who had ten digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Lamar's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Banning Lewis Academy, their defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 10-3.

Lamar didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Limon on the 4th. As for Banning Lewis Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Fountain Valley on the 4th.
