Baseball Recap: Mid-Prairie's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Mid-Prairie came out on top against Durant on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Golden Hawks took their matchup against the Wildcats 8-5. The win was some much needed relief for the Golden Hawks as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Mid-Prairie pushed their record up to 13-9 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Durant, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mid-Prairie will welcome Cascade at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Durant, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Lisbon at 7:00 p.m.
