Softball Recap: Riverton Wins Going Away Against New Heights Christian Academy

Riverton got themselves on the board against New Heights Christian Academy on Friday, but New Heights Christian Academy never followed suit. They blew past the Cougars 15-0. That's two games straight that the Rams have won by exactly 15 runs.

Avery Barnett was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Marlee North was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

Riverton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .774. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as New Heights Christian Academy only posted an OBP of .188.

Riverton has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Riverton will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Jefferson County North at 4:30 p.m. on April 8. As for New Heights Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Springfield Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
