Basketball Recap: Mercy Jaguars vs. Mercer County Titans
Mercy took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday (and then some). They blew past the Mercer County Titans 62-32. With the Jaguars ahead 49-19 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Despite the defeat, Mercer County saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Izzie Carlton went 6 for 10 en route to 19 points plus five rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Cardin Sickles, who had nine points along with seven rebounds.
Mercy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 81-43 loss against Lawrence Central on the 7th. As for Mercer County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-42 victory against Somerset on the 5th.
