Baseball Game Preview: Jal Panthers vs. Texico Wolverines

Jal hasn't had much luck against Texico recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Wolverines at 4:30 p.m. Jal has given up an average of 12.3 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Jal came up short against Loving on Saturday, falling 13-3. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fernando Sauceda made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Texico was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 24-5 to Eunice.

Texico's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Jal, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Jal suffered a grim 15-4 defeat to Texico in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
