Volleyball Recap: Hendersonville Has No Trouble Against T.C. Roberson

Hendersonville hadn't done well against T.C. Roberson recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Bearcats put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 3-0 win. For the Bearcats, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Rams walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2019.

The win didn't come easy: T.C. Roberson scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 26-24, 25-18.

Emory Freeman paced Hendersonville's offense, picking up eight kills. Freeman got some help from Shelbie Cannon and her 22 assists. Freeman was also a major player on defense: she and Reagan Adams shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with two each.

Hendersonville has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. As for T.C. Roberson, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hendersonville will venture away from home to square off against Asheville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for T.C. Roberson, they will face off against Chase at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
