Pearland had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Dobie Longhorns. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-6 back in March.

Pearland pushed their record up to 22-6 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Dobie, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pearland will face off against Pasadena Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Oilers are facing the Mavericks at the right time seeing as the Mavericks are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Dobie, they will take on South Houston at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Longhorns will also cruise into their next matchup with the timing on their side: the Trojans will have lost 18 straight heading into Tuesday's game.
