Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Emmerson Haskins and Brianna Paul Lead Circle to Victory

Circle won the last time they faced Collegiate and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Thunderbirds sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Spartans. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Thunderbirds.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Circle who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-21, 22-25, 25-10.

Leading Circle to victory were Brianna Paul and Emmerson Haskins. Paul had 23 digs and three assists, while Haskins had 13 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Haskins has posted over her last five matches.

Circle's win bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Collegiate, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Circle wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against El Dorado on the 30th. As for Collegiate, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Pratt on the 4th.
