It was a good run, but Alliance Bloomfield unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Los Angeles Leadership Academy Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulls of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 14-25, 25-16, 25-15.

Diego Izazaga paced Alliance Bloomfield's offense, picking up eight kills. Izazaga got some help from Alex Ortiz and his five assists. Jose Gonzalez and Andrew Duenas kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Los Angeles Leadership Academy found their leader in sophomore Daniel Duarte, who had three digs and three aces. Those three aces set a new season-high mark for Duarte.

Alliance Bloomfield's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Los Angeles Leadership Academy, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Alliance Bloomfield has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against ESAT on the 19th. As for Los Angeles Leadership Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Stern on the 19th.
