Sturgis hadn't done well against Otsego recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Sturgis Trojans came out on top against the Otsego Bulldogs by a score of 54-45. This was a revenge game for the Trojans: when they faced off against the Bulldogs back in December of 2024, they had to take a 67-62 loss.

Sturgis picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 5-15. As for Otsego, they dropped their record down to 5-13 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Sturgis is taking a road trip to challenge Colon at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Colon will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Sturgis surely won't give up without a fight. As for Otsego, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-51 loss against Lakeview on the 18th.
