Baseball Game Preview: Crestwood Red Devils vs. Ellet Orangemen

The Crestwood Red Devils will square off against the Ellet Orangemen at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Crestwood and seven for Ellet.

Crestwood fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Southeast on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 6-5.

Crestwood got a good showing from Christopher Mory, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Bobby Bradley led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Eyerman, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Meanwhile, Ellet fell victim to Cuyahoga Falls and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They fell just short of the Black Tigers by a score of 1-0.

Ellet's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Crestwood, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.

Crestwood beat Ellet 8-3 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Will the Red Devils repeat their success, or do the Orangemen have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
