Baseball Recap: Cherokee Comes Up Short

Cherokee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Waterloo Cougars, falling 24-7. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 35-3 on Monday.

Cherokee's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Waterloo, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Cougars beat Cherokee by a score of 9-6 later that day.
