Basketball Recap: North Rowan Comes Up Short

North Rowan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 49-37 to the Salisbury Hornets. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cavaliers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-37 back in December of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why North Rowan lost, don't look at Dasia Elder. Despite the final result, she posted 16 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. That was a full 43.2% of North Rowan's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Allanah McAuthur was another key player, putting up ten points and six boards.

North Rowan's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Salisbury, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.

North Rowan has already played their next matchup (against South Stanly), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Salisbury has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Parkland.
