Basketball Recap: Roy Berry's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Pathways over DME Academy Regional

Pathways's tournament run continued when they took on DME Academy Regional on Tuesday. The Eagles received a blow as they fell 68-52 to DME Academy Regional.

Pathways' defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Roy Berry, who went 9-for-19 en route to 28 points and three steals. With that strong performance, Berry is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game. Leonardo Mariscal was another key player, putting up seven points along with eight boards and four steals.

Pathways' loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for DME Academy Regional, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, Pathways will be playing in front of their home fans against Southland Christian at 7:15 p.m. on the 3rd. As for DME Academy Regional, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Pine Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on the 11th.
