Lynn Classical is 8-2 against Medford since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Rams will host the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Lynn Classical's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Medford's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Lynn Classical and Malden, and Lynn Classical kept the tradition alive. The Rams skirted past the Tornados 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rams have posted since April 8, 2025.

Meanwhile, Medford fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Somerville on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Highlanders by a score of 5-4. The loss leaves the Mustangs still looking for their first win of the season.

John Wright put in work while hitting and pitching. He struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Wright was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Wright wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Travers Moodie, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Those RBI were Moodie's first of the season.

Lynn Classical's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Medford, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Lynn Classical beat Medford 3-0 when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
