Recap: Hill Falcons vs. Del Mar Dons
The Hill Falcons fell victim to the Del Mar Dons''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 49-0 loss at the hands of the Dons. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.
Andre Latimore continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Del Mar, rushing for 142 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, while also throwing for 58 yards and a touchdown while completing 75% of his passes. Latimore is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last six games he's played. Jake Schwoob got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Hill's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Del Mar, the win was the fifth in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 5-3.
Hill will be playing in front of their home fans against Yerba Buena at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Yerba Buena is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Del Mar, they will head out on the road to face off against Gunderson at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Gunderson and Del Mar are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads.
