Softball Recap: Silas Rams vs. Gig Harbor Tides

If Silas was feeling good fresh off their 25-9 takedown of Lincoln last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rams came up short against the Gig Harbor Tides on Wednesday, falling 21-8. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tides this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-4 last Thursday.

Nevaeh Rodriguez was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Bailey Brunk also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Silas' loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Gig Harbor, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Silas will take on rival Central Kitsap at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Gig Harbor is set to challenge their familiar foe Mount Tahoma at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
