Baseball Recap: Perryton Takes a Loss

Perryton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Plains Wolves. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Rangers have suffered since April 22, 2025.

Jaxten Castanon was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlos Estrada, who went 1-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Perryton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for West Plains, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

Perryton will take on Pampa at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The Harvesters will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for West Plains, they will square off against Randall at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
