Defiance extends road losing streak to seven

This season hasn't been kind to the Defiance Bulldogs, who are still winless after their eighth game. They received a tough blow on Thursday as they fell 52-35 to Memorial. Defiance has struggled against Memorial recently, as their game on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Defiance's loss came despite strong showings from Caroline McDonald and Samantha Hohenberger. McDonald scored eight points along with 11 rebounds, while Hohenberger scored nine points. Those 11 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her.

Defiance's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-8. As for Memorial, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Defiance will be home for the holidays to greet Bluffton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Memorial, they will head out on the road to face off against Fort Recovery at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
