Soccer Game Preview: Batesville vs. East Central

Batesville is 1-9 against East Central since September of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Bulldogs will venture away from home to challenge the Trojans at 7:30 p.m.

Batesville's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Greensburg by a score of 2-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Batesville were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, East Central and Floyd Central finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw on Saturday.

Batesville's win bumped their record up to 3-7-2. With that draw, East Central's record moves to 8-3-3.

Batesville couldn't quite get it done against East Central when the teams last played back in September of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
