Football Recap: Connellsville Takes a Loss

Connellsville lost against Meadville back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Falcons came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 35-14.

Although Connellsville took the loss, they still got scores from Caden Matthews and Linkon Keller.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Jordan Lawrence and Tymir Phillips. Lawrence rushed for 161 yards and a pair of scores while Phillips gained 123 total yards and two touchdowns. Those 161 rushing yards gave Lawrence a new career-high.

Connellsville's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Meadville, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Connellsville will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Albert Gallatin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Falcons' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Meadville, they will head out on the road to take on Butler at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
