Baseball Game Preview: Fairfield Trojans vs. Keokuk Chiefs

Fairfield is 9-1 against Keokuk since June of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Trojans will host the Chiefs at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Fairfield came up short against Denison-Schleswig and fell 10-6.

Meanwhile, Keokuk was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They lost 14-4 to Mt. Pleasant. On the bright side, the four- run performance marked the Chiefs' highest-scoring contest to date.

Keokuk's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Fairfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-6.

Fairfield took their victory against Keokuk in their previous matchup on June 12th by a conclusive 12-0 score. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Chiefs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
