Basketball Game Preview: Jupiter Christian Eagles vs. Highlands Christian Knights

Jupiter Christian is 9-1 against Highlands Christian since December of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Jupiter Christian Eagles will face off against the Highlands Christian Knights at 6:30 p.m. Jupiter Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.5 points per game this season.

Jupiter Christian is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Trinity Christian Academy just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 61-49 to the Warriors.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Cayden Alula, who posted ten points and four steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. Matthew Barrett was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds.

Even though they lost, Jupiter Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in seven consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Highlands Christian came up short against John Carroll Catholic on Monday and fell 62-52. The Knights have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Jupiter Christian's record now sits at 7-7. As for Highlands Christian, their record now sits at 8-12.

Jupiter Christian beat Highlands Christian 61-51 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jupiter Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
